About me
Learning to use AI to get the work in my hands done faster and better, and turning it into things that run along the way.
My name is Weiliang. I'm 21 and I live in Shanghai. I studied computer network technology and graduated in July 2026.
This year I've been learning one thing: how to actually put AI to work on what I'm doing, instead of stopping at "I've heard of it." My test is simple — for everything I learn, I have to build something that really runs.
How I learn
I'm not a programmer. At first I couldn't even tell you whether a "large language model" and ChatGPT were the same thing. So step one wasn't learning a framework — it was building myself a knowledge base: Obsidian plus Claude Code, digesting every piece of material I read into notes that link to each other.
What makes this setup worth it is that what I learn doesn't get forgotten the moment I'm done with it — it stacks up, layer by layer. There's a rules file in the knowledge base that I wrote myself, defining how material comes in, how it gets looked up, and how the whole thing gets a regular checkup — and the checkup is all about hunting down conclusions that contradict each other.
What's next
Whenever something involves repetition, a process, or information that can be organized, I want to try making it run faster than it does now — that goes for the work in my hands, and for the things I build for my own use.
I'm upfront about the gaps too: I learned how React works backwards, starting from Next.js; I haven't touched backend APIs yet; and my TypeScript types aren't as tidy as they should be. I'm working on all three.
